A warm welcome awaits you here at Jersey Quakers. You will find us at 71 La Colomberie, just round the corner from Howard Davis park, in the beautifully peaceful and sunlit space of our Meeting House. We are a small and friendly group and we meet every Sunday at 10:30 am to 11:30 am and again on Wednesday afternoons from 1:15pm to 1:45pm .
During our Meeting for Worship, as is the Quaker way, we sit in silence and practise ‘expectant waiting’, opening our hearts and minds to the insights and guidance we find within. If we are moved to, we share our insights so that all might consider the meanings and significance for our individual lives and experiences.
The easiest way to discover Quakers is to simply come along to one of our Sunday meetings, and see if you like it. If you are visiting Jersey on holiday, this could be the perfect opportunity to experience your first Quaker Meeting and find out for yourself!
Quakers are a faith group committed to working for equality and peace. Quakerism is almost 400 years old. It’s the common name for the Religious Society of Friends.
Every Quaker meeting begins in silence. We use it to open ourselves to the wisdom that comes out of stillness. It enriches us and shapes us, individually and collectively.
Quakers share a way of life rather than a set of beliefs. We seek to experience what some call God directly, within ourselves and in our relationships with others and the world around us.
